Motivation!

Or should I say lack there of!  I finally walked some today.  It has been the first time in a week.  I have done 3.9 miles this week and 6 last week (I think).  That is pathetic considering the previous three weeks were all over 24 miles.  I can say this, I have a total of 107 miles!!!!!!  There are only 12 weeks until the walk.  I am getting excited.  I have been seeing pictures on FB of a Walk last week in Boston and one this weekend.

Another note, yesterday was 4 years ago that my mom passed away!  It just hits home how much I want to do this race for her!!!!!!!!  I only need to raise $2225 more!  Any help would be appreciated!  Well off to put the oldest one to bed!

Workouts

I went to the Y yesterday and did 4.1 miles in 1 hour.  I went again today and did 4.3 miles in 1 hour.  I alternated every 5 minutes.  I walked @ 3.5 and 4.0.  Then I ran @ 5.5 (yesterday I did it @ 5.0).  I did this for the entire hour.  I did not feel that bad.  I want to run more but I need to practice for the walk in Oct.  It will be here before I know it.  I also have not raised that much money.  Only $25!!!!!  I have $2975 to go!!!!  Actually I only have to raise $2300 but I set my goal at $3000!  It can be done.  I am trying to decide if I want to take the girls walking tomorrow or if I am going to the Y in the morning.  If it is not raining and not too hot, I will walk with the girls.  Someway.....I will get it done.  I also have Spin Class at 5:30.  I am shooting for 25 miles this week.  So far, I have 8.4.  Only 16.6 miles in 5 days.  Well, 4 days because I try not to do anything on Sunday.  That is 4.15 miles a day.

It has been awhile!

I haven't been on here in awhile but I have been walking.  I have logged in 12 miles so far this week.  I really do need to get a good pair of shoes because my feet are killing me.  I know K.A.F., I need to go to Running Wild and I will.  I have been doing a lot of walking on the treadmill.  I shouldn't do this because it gives me shin splints.  I did rather good today.  I went 3.86 miles in one hour.  I would do 5 min. @ 3.5 and 5 min. @ 4.0.  Then the last 5 minutes I ran @ 5.0 and went up to 5.5 for the last min. and a half.  I didn't stop but it was hard not to.

I only have one donation so far.  I know Oct. 22 is over 3 months away but it will be here before we know it.  I have to raise $2300 before I can walk.  It is for a great cause and well worth the time and energy.  I am going to be writing letters and mailing them out this week.  I think I will get more donations this way.  It is more personable than an email or a post on FB!  Well I have to go for now but I will be back.
